Diesel Technician – Reese, Michigan

1st, 2nd & 3rd shift available
The Diesel Mechanic will be working on a variety of heavy trucks and trailers ranging from OTR sleepers to Live Bottom Trailers, including troubleshooting and repair: electronic, fuel, ignition, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Our Diesel Mechanic will most often work independently but will occasionally be expected to work well in a team setting on major projects. Diesel Mechanics have the opportunity to learn while they work through our in-house technician paid training program.
In this Diesel Tech role you will:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues. Ability to test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
- Identifies mechanical problems visually and/or with computer or shop provided diagnostic equipment.
- Perform diagnostics on specific components and systems to determine proper operation.

Requirements
- 1+ years of experience
- State certification(s) preferred
- Ability and knowledge to diagnose diesel engines, transmissions, and differential projects
- Strong communication skills – team oriented
Physical Requirements of a Diesel Tech:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspection
- Must have enough vision to inspect repair work
- Must be able to use/operate hand tools, power tools, and other heavy machinery
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen
